Google is working really hard these days on all its products and services. After Google+, it has started working on youtube now. Google's youtube sees an update every now and then. There have been many plugins and scripts for it to make the viewing better whether it was darkening of the screen or hiding the text behind and a lot more.


Recently Google launched a new viewing mode known as 'Cosmic Panda'. The mode changes the interface to flash player components with completely new buttons. It is free to use and you can try it by clicking on http://www.youtube.com/cosmicpanda and then clicking on the 'try it out' button.

It comes with a lot of new features like changing the quality of the video or changing the viewing area. It comes with changes in even the profile page with wider thumbnails now.

Hoping to see you tube changing to 'Cosmic Panda' full time now.

9 reasons to switch from facebook to google+

The question is a much talked about question these days but the thing is that google+ is something bigger than facebook and you cannot compare them in a way we compare two websites. And this is Google's fourth attempt to beat Facebook after Orkut, Buzz and Wave.

There are a few reasons why i think you should go for google+

1.Integration with all the google services


This is something that really separates facebook from google+.You easily get integrated with almost all the google services in google+. It's really silly to jump out to a different site for social networking when you do almost all other work with google.You can carry on with almost all the work inluding google docs,messenger,gmail etc in google+.

2.A better friend management

The friend 'circles' are the bedrock of the google+ platform.It's rightly said that you have different kinds of circles in life and we interact and communicate with each of them in a much different way and google+ helps you in creating those circles of friends.

3.Better mobile application

The facebook's mobile app is a little clunky to use and google+ really worked hard in overcoming this issue and google is still working on making android based phones a seemless appendage of google+ platform.

4.Easier to find stuff to share

Google+'s 'sparks' feature,This is something which facebook cannot provide since it do not have its own search engine.It gives users an instant access to the vast relevant information available on google and lets you hare easily.

5.You can get your data back.

At facebook you are forced to make certain personal things of yours 'public' and deletion of you facebook account permanently isn't that easy too whereas a tool named 'Data liberation' helps you in downloading all your data available at google+ and walking away.

6.Better photo tagging

Google+ uses the face recognition feature similar to facebook and even the tagging of photos is similar as in facebook,the difference is that while you tag a photo,google+ warns you that the person would be able to view this album of yours and lets you select the privacy options.

7.Group chat feature

Forming ad hoc group video chats using the 'hangout' feature in google+ is quit easy and interesting too.Even forming a ad hoc group for a small chat is easy too.The new 'huddle' mobile app makes it easy for android users to start up group text chats.

8.Safer content sharing

The privacy option are much better at google+.You can actually set different privacy settings for each and every piece of the content you share instead of compromising with the preset privacy settings.

9.Better supervisor of personal data

Facebook is young as compared to a more mature company 'google'. It lives up to its slogan 'Don't be an evil' and handles your personal data with care.
